Just purchased a 2024 4Runner ORP with KDSS package in Ice White.
The only non-Toyota vehicle in household (2019 Honda Odyssey) was surrendered for this awesome legend. Couldn’t sit back and watch the 4Runner V6 natural aspirated engine go away and not grab it. The rest in my driveway:
2010 Venza V6 AWD (love it), 206K mi.
2012 Tundra Crewmax 5.7L (the beast), 93K mi.
2010 Camry (slated for kids car), 60K mi.
2014 Lexus IS 350C (dressed up Toyo rocket), 33K mi.

    Plans for the 4Runner:
    - Look into whether to do undercoating
    - Change to TRD PRO grill
    - Add ARB skid plates
    - Change wheels

I’ll keep looking at previous posts for answers. This forum is rich with info and tips, thanks y’all!

Welcome from Wisconsin! The undercoating you're contemplating is a good investment.

Pretty funny. I called the Toyota dealer service center and they referred me to a third party for the work. I asked if they recommended the undercoating and they said to ask the third party company. Guess when they sold the truck the sales person pitched it heavily but they are not synced with the service department.

Congrats and welcome! If you live in an area that has winter weather and uses road salt, I would highly recommend getting some sort of an undercoating. Not the rubbery goop stuff, that makes things worse, but something like woolwax that is more of a fluid than a goop.

That's parr for the course, it's kind of 'not including the rest of the team' , not surprising at all. If it were me, which it is not, I would go for the undercoat from someone other than Toyota, some have yearly return "touchups" at no added cost, a small garage by me does anyway.
