    Installed this set up:

    Bilstein 6112 front
    Bilstein 5160 rear
    1.25” wheel spacers
    UCAs
    275/70R17 Wildpeaks

On stock TRD wheels, and I have rubbing on the front body mount and fender liner. I didn’t go with the 285s as I read with the 275s they would clear without issues. It appears I did something incorrect on the install to be the only 4R owner that rubs after lift and 275s.

Any advise on what I did incorrect would be great, or I’ll trim the mount and figure out how to suck the rear fender liner in to stop rubbing.

Maybe to wide of wheel spacer?4A0FFAC3-0AAD-4443-8F21-5A7F585131B8.jpg259BA556-C252-4625-BAA6-447F915BC8A1.jpg

275's shouldn't require any trimming.... it's odd, but I have seen someone else on here with that same issue. Did they do an alignment?

Have you done your alignment? Caster plays a huge role.

Too many..... Performance: • Magnusum Supercharger • Gibson exhaust with dual black tip • Pedal Commander * PowerBrakes • Suspension – Old Man Emu BP-51 front and back with Medium load coils • Tires: AT3 Faulken Wildpeak – 285/70/17 • Wheels: Relations Race Wheels, RR7-H with -12 offset • Full roof rack and ladder by Westcott Design (removed the stock Yakima basket) • Molle storage panels by Rago fabrication • Front light brackets by Rago • Illuminator light bracket by Rago (roof rack location) Lights • Morimoto front and back with sequential signals • Morimoto fog lights and side mirrors with sequential signals • 40” Baja design light bar for roof rack • 20” S8 Baja design driving combo (winch location) • Squadron sport baja design ditch lights • S2 Chase lights by baja designs (mounted on roof) In the bay: • Odyssey 34-PC Battery • SDQH Aluminum billet battery terminals and bracket • Switch Pro 9100 with aluminum tray • Anytime front and back camera • ARB twin compressor Recovery & Protection: • Smittybilt X20 synthetic rope winch • Factor 55 fairlead and flatlink • Southern Style Off-road (SSO) low profile bumper • SSO stage 2 high clearance wings • Weekend warrior recovery kit by treaty oak • RCI – skid plates – entire vehicle + catalytic converter protection wings Interior: • Nano Ceramic IR – Avery Dennison Window tint – all windows • Several phone mounts • Upgraded Rear Hatch lift gate struts (ladder is heavy) • Boom blaster horn switch (featuring La cucaracha)
That is very odd. I run 285 wildpeak as well and no issues. If I have to make a guess is the wheel spacers are not right and then the UCA is sticking out too much. Definitely re-install in my opinion.

Alignment was done and rolls straight and true, no shimmy. Going to pull the spacers and re-install wheels and see if that is the issue.

My guess is that it’s 100% the wheel spacers.

By pushing the wheels out, you’ve increased the radius of their turning arc.

(the analogy I use is imagine standing in a closet holding a pie pan close to your chest… now hold it out and spin in place… at a certain point even if you fit before, you’ll start knocking into things)

Take them off and see what happens.

    It's the spacers.

But, the alignment could be a part of it, also. What are your alignment specs?

It's the wheel spacers and your alignment, like @Thatbassguy said.

You need to do a few things to make a larger tire with that much wheel offset fit.

Have you done the fender liner mod? It's not clear in your post. Thats where you push the fender liner in front of the tire forward and do a small trim on the fender flare.

After the fender liner mod is done, then get an alignment where you push your caster forward as far as it will go. If you can get your caster around the +4 degree area, you will push your tire forward in the wheel just enough to stop rubbing on the body mount. And if you do the fender liner mod, you will not rub after pushing your tire forward because you already addressed that area.

You should be good to go after that.

Removed spacers, problem solved. Lesson learned. Easy fix.
