    Could you tell me:
    1. If you have had experience comparing an OEM Toyota ball joint versus an aftermarket one?
    2. Some ball joints require lubrication, some do not. What is your experience?
    Thanks.

I know you've already read this but I'll say it: after market lower ball joints- DONT

Basically unless your planning to sell the car within the next year or two, just get OEM. If your original LBJs don't have play in them yet, just wait until you have the money to buy OEM. It's a huge safety item, and one of the last things you should try and save money on. If you know where to look, you'll find oem around the price of a premium aftermarket product anyway.

If your original LBJ do have play in them and you don't have the money to buy OEM, there is no definitive answer. Because you never know who makes what, Sankai 555 parts are supposedly good, and that's supposedly who makes the $40 moog, then you'll see a (it is pre greased), and . Not many complaints about the Napa ones, but they also aren't much less than oem.

The only certain thing about after market lower ball joints is uncertainty

Toyota ball joints and replace the bolts (also Toyota).
