    Hi,

I have a 2015 2wd sr5 4runner that I just installed brand new rotors and brake pads on the front. Bought the black rotors and gold pads from Autozone... backed out of the driveway and took off to test drive it.

I hit the brakes and the front left brake is now pulsing, and getting that feedback in the steering wheel.. Started and stopped at low speeds and it is continuing to do the same pulsing.

Brand new rotors and pads.. could it be a bad front drivers side caliper or is it possible ABS issue?

    Thanks for your suggestions

Did you happen to get any fluid on a rotor or pad? just thinking out loud

Did you "bed" the brakes after you installed them? Some people do, some people don't. A couple of thousandths makes a difference in brakes, that could be causing you're pulsing.

Hi guys thanks for your advice.. found out the issue five minutes after posting this question. I used a gauge and found that the "Brand New Gold Rotor from AutoZone" was out of round by enough to cause the pulsing. I took it back , put the new replacement on it and the pulsing is gone. Still blows my mind how a brand new rotor can be out of round... I've never experiences this in 30 plus years of working on cars.

I had the same thing happen to me with some Autozone rotors I had installed on the rear of my old Hellement. Took em back and went and purchased factory Honda parts. Problem solved.
Should have done that from the get go, would've saved a bunch of time and you know what folks say, Time is Money.

They crank out the parts and do not verify them 100%. Probably just sample a few every so often. Good quality control costs money.

I agree, best to buy OEM parts if you can afford it. So many companies are using parts manufactured in China .
