Front Hydraulic Bump Stops

Hello everyone! I am possibly looking into hydraulic bump stops for the front to help with less up travel and bottoming out. Does anyone here by any chance have any experience or knowledge on how these would be mounted and installed? I couldn't find any kits or brackets to be purchased online anywhere, I'm assuming these would have to be customer welded with the cans from king or what not to the stock factory lower control arm location. will work just fine. Hydro bumps are not an easy installation and expensive.

Someone would have to fab up a mount on the frame and it would be better with aftermarket LCAs like:



I was that guy too in my Tacoma but really you don't have a trophy truck. Especially with this fat pig, you will quickly break the upper coilover mounts, inner fender structure and radiator core support. I'd work on better dampening like a bypass as well.

 

Wow this is beautiful... Yeah, I kind of over estimated how much only a mid travel could do on a car, and as of now I am just trying to figure out some good bump stops to limit some up travel and start taking it easy a bit more, and then think about a full long travel kit in the near future. Appreciate the help

 

They work, not for TT shit, but they work. If OP is bouncing off the factory pucks, these will be a vast improvement in the short term. A lot of the Taco LT boys use them or Duros on the front suspension because hydros can interfere with shock damping in the last several inches of travel, and then your tuning bumps AND your COs. Super Bumps are less likely to do that and a much easier install. This Video was taken before I revalved my rear smoothies. They were way too soft, but as you can see, those big hunks of Rubber can take some abuse. The one downside is they will get dry and crack after awhile in the desert climates.

@n8th8n Here is a mock up cardboard template I made to build my bump can brackets. I ended up getting them pretty close this way. A lot of people forget the LCA has to move a little to accommodate the alignment, so placement is critical. I'm not a fabricator, so this process was a little time consuming.
