    Question, is there a Road that connects I-40 with Hwy 62? I’m thinking about taking a trip thru Mojave National Preserve then over to Joshua Tree, but I don’t see any roads that connect the two on a map. Anyone know of a road that connects the two without having to go all the way around?

    Yea. That’s the route, the exit off of I40 further east is the route I take, for some reason google maps has you driving around. Not sure why. I’ve taken that route several times.

    That’s what I was looking for. For some reason I couldn’t see that. Is this a paved highway or gravel road?

    I would be coming from Orange County. My plan is to drive the 15 to Baker thru the Preserve to the 40 than down to the 62 to Joshua Tree thru San Berdoo Road to the 10. That would be my plan.

    I miss every town n road mentioned…

    @coryanderson
    Are you referring to the shack that resembles goonies?
    Says fresh seafood but a tumbleweed flies by?

    I can’t wait to get back at least to visit

    …might be thinking of a shack near Bernardino’s
