Fitting 34 inch tires with a 3 inch lift in front and 2.5 in rear

    2019 trd pro 4 runner
    I am debating on what would be the best tires to put on my 2019 trd pro. I have a 3 inch lift in the front and a 2.5 in rear. I am debating between 285/75/17 or 295/70/17. Besides a body mount chop and removing the mud flaps is there any other trimming that will be required to prevent rubbing? Has anyone done this and can share some photos!

    Aside from what you mentioned, UCA’s, hammer pinch weld, trim front bumper.
    I’m debating on switching to 285/75/17 for my next set as well though.

    So I was curious about this same modification. I wanted to run a bigger 33 inch tire (practically 34). However there were some concerns I had as well.

    My concerns are mainly focused in wear and tear of other components on the vehicle. Let’s say I get everything to fit just fine. Has there been anyone who has experienced damage to other components because of these things? The things I am thinking about are the following:

    Brake damage?
    Broken cv axels from the added weight?
    Stress on the engine, transmission, transfer case, etc that results in these components failing prematurely?
    Power steering failures?
    Etc.

    I watched a video of a guy who put on 35 inch tires on his 4Runner and it looked nice but then he was saying he had gone through 3 power steering pumps, had to custom install a little radiator type device to keep his power steering from failing and now he replaces the power steering fluid 3-4x annually.

    I hope someone with an engineering/mechanical background or someone with knowledge in this area (pretty much anyone besides me ;)) is able to chime in. Also anyone who has gone this route. Can you show pics of your 4Runner and your experiences.

    I'm concerned about these same things with my 275 Wildpeaks. As I'm new to modding trucks, I really have no idea how "over-built" the 4Runner is and if it can even handle the heavier tires at all. I'm not even thinking as much about the main stuff like engine/transmission (I'm sure they're fine), but more along the lines of bushings, ball-joints, etc.

    I think the stock tires are like 41 lbs? I didn't notice much with my 47 lb tires, but my current 58 lb tires worry me. I can't imagine going even heavier.. but maybe the truck can take it?

    I looked up the items that would possibly need to be replaced over time and they are not expensive things. Just more maintenance kind of stuff. I would be willing to spend a few hundred bucks a year on maintenance and replacing those parts if it meant enjoying the routes less traveled.

    I am currently running 295/70/17 MT. I have 3 inches in the front and back. I replaced my UCA to SPC (I believe they are adjusted to 3 degrees of caster). I did a BMC, removed mud flaps, and minor trimming of some plastic in the inside front wheel well. I don't have any rubbing and yes I do take it on challenging trails. I have had tires off the ground many of times. My wheels are a 0 offset.

    @djwantke Ok got the 285 75 R17s installed and I have zero rub at full lock. The only fender liner trim I have done was what ever Toyota does at port. The BMC has lots of space as you'll see in the photos. Obviously everything will be dependent on offset and width assuming you wanted to go with a 295.     3 inch lift front. 2 inch lift rear
    I’m looking to do the same right now. I have 3 inch lift in front. 2 inch lift in rear. I still have stock rims. What offset did you have when you installed these tires? I would like to hold off on a viper cut for now. Do you think I can fit 285/75/17 without doing the viper cut and the stock offset
