Bought a '15 Trail Premium a few weeks ago and I am in love with it already. It is so much better than my old '07 Ford Explorer that kept breaking down. I've heard that Toyotas are very reliable vehicles if you treat them right and take care of them. Are there issues or problems that I should keep an eye out for that is common for 4Runners, specifically the 5th gen models? Please let me know!!!

Welcome and congratulations. 4runners are solid vehicles. Sold my 07 4runner with 144000 miles and no major issues. Brakes, oil, tires, water pump @120k. Only odd one was ac condenser @130k miles. Bought a 2016 last week because I loved them so much, missed it.

    Welcome aboard

mine is just got 7k on the odometer, sure enough there is no problem yet. So far I figured out there ain’t weak points. Engine and tranny are very solid, but if I remember it right there was some issue with the paint on some color some year and there is a recall for several years but none of that applied for mine so I didn’t get into that.
