    trying since 2019.

picked up white 2023 ORP today at a dealership over an hour drive away from where I live.

Paid MSRP but dealership did throw in their mandatory paint protection and scotch guard package for $750.

initial impressions are great. Averaged 22.5 mpg on way home (97% highway driving 55-70 and pretending the gas pedal was made of eggshell).

I oddly have heated steering wheel. Didn’t think they made those for US market.

discovered driving home my tire pressures were 55PSI. Supposed to be 32 I believe.

plan to put on Wildpeaks. Add amber fog lights and maybe a SprintBooster in next few weeks although acceleration seemed ok to me coming from a Subaru forester so might skip the SB.

Its so awesome that you have heated steering.

If your tire pressure is 55psi does that mean pre-delivery service is not done / missed? I'm not sure what is the check list for a 4Runner. I would assume things like fluids, short pin install, battery test, tire psi, remove paint guard, body plugs, carpets, steering wheel center check, etc..

I'm not sure about yellow fog lights. May be see how your stock lights perform. I don't have complains with my stock headlights on foggy conditions.

Congrats. I was randomly looking out the window at work today and saw a car carrier with 3 tundras and something black in the middle bottom that I could not quite make out...I guess that it was mine since I knew it was supposed to be on its way...thinking I was right as mine no longer shows in transit (and it did until at least 4pm).

I'll be checking tire pressure since they're putting Toyo AT3's on before I pick it up and since they are LT's I asked for 44psi (based on the Tire & Rim Association chart of what the stock tires are rated to carry at 32psi and what pressure LT's in the same size need to be to carry the same weight...yes, I'm a nerd).

Saw a 4Runner with yellow fogs while I was out west in December (between the Grand Canyon and Page, AZ), they were so bright I couldn't see the headlights...blinding yellow light...

    Congrats and welcome!

If you want to keep getting 22 MPG you now know how to do it -- Highway, keep it below 70 and treat the throttle like you're walking barefoot on broken glass :D

Mine also delivered at 55psi. Took me a couple weeks to figure it out!

Note that your mpg will drop if you go to heavier and more aggressive tires like Wildpeaks. Then again, no one should be buying a 4R for the gas mileage! As I like to say, these things don't really get MPG -- they get MPT (Miles Per Tank lol).

And yeah, skip the SB. The 4R has enough get up and go when you really need it -- ya just gotta push the go-pedal farther!

Ya. Makes you wonder. I also found a razor blade in backseat. Not sure what that was used for.

Headlights are good. Tried them last night. Wasn’t expecting them to be as bright as they were. Tonight will try the fog lights.

Congrat! Looks great! Any particular reason for choosing the Wildpeaks over other similar tires? I'm thinking about what's next on my 21' Venture.

Welcome! Nice Rig! I've got 10,000 on my WildPeaks after taking the 20" wheels of the Limited.
LT 275/70r17 load range C. So far quiet. only cost 0.2 MPG avg over 10,000 miles. I think you'll be really happy.

I had them on my previous car (Subaru Forester) and the did very well in bad winter conditions. My whole life I’ve only driven on OEM tires or budget tires. These were first upper end well rated tire I’ve had and noticed big difference.

my priority was tilted more to having good wet and winter driving and less so for hard core rock crawling. Also wanted ok on road performance.

I haven’t tried any of the other popular off-road tires to compare though. My friend who has KO2’s didn’t like them in wet/rain. They held up well for him off-roading regularly in Death Valley though.

they are on the heavier side though. 45lbs for standard load. C and E load you’ll be into 50lb range easy.

I do not like KO2 Load E as they gave me a rough ride on payment. Probably they have real 3 ply side walls.

KO2 Load C were fantastic on deep snow and any offroading as a A/T tire. On light snow on pavement they did not perform well as my Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac.

I don't think I've seen KO2 standard load tires. Weight wise KO2 is not bad at all. Here an example of BFG KO2 Load C at 45lbs vs most famous SL tire on this forum at 46lbs.

    upload_2023-1-24_14-9-19.jpg
    upload_2023-1-24_14-8-37.jpg

Or even if you check for bigger 275s BFG KO2 Load E 55lbs vs Famous tire brand in Load C 57lbs

    upload_2023-1-24_14-22-8.jpg
    upload_2023-1-24_14-22-33.jpg

Or the most common size 285/70R17. KO2 Load C is bigger and lighter compared to famous standard load tires

Oh crap. I never knew C load KO2 285/70R17 only weigh 50lbs. That’s really good for that size tire.

got SL Wildpeak installed today. 265/70R17 and they weigh 45lbs. Although I feel like Wildpeak SL rating might be closer to a C load tire.

Congratz. There is nothing to worry. I have Wildpeak SL 285s on my Limited. They are good tires.
