    Hi guys,

My 2021 4Runner got into a small collision couple days ago, the results is I will need to replace the fender flare.

I purchased the part online, now I’m wondering if I should diy paint job or leave it to body shop ( quote for $200). My thoughts are is easy to do the paint but I’m not sure what clear coat the factory is using - high gloss? Semi gloss or satin? If I’m using the wrong sheen it will be easy to tell, any thoughts? Appreciate

*the fender flare in photo is actually damaged, I just double side taped it for now, and it does not look as good as picture shows :) . It’s a plastic trim piece came with prime paint only. My vehicle color code is 1G3

I'd have it professionally done for $200 and not worry about it again. Either way it's probably not gonna be a 100% match to the discerning eye. And a DIY job is more than likely gonna be the worse end result of the two. Go for once and done.
