Has anyone installed these fang lights?

My question is, instead of piggy backing on a fuse, why can't I just open the loom, peel back the insulation, solder and splice the fang light into the OEM circuit? Same with the raptor lights. Since they're just LEDs....how much current could they possibly take? I wouldn't think they'd need their own fuse.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Sure, why follow the directions so they work properly (and safely). Do it your way!

...let us know how that works out for you.

Because that's just like replacing a fuse that's blown with a higher amp rating to keep it from blowing. You'll only risk blown fuses at best and an electrical fire at worst, YMMV......good luck.

It depends on how the lights themselves are designed. LEDs are diodes, which means they'll take all the current they can get until they burn up, unless there's another load (like a resistor) in series to limit the current. That could be included in the lights themselves, or they could assume you're providing it externally.

    1. Not sure who pissed in your cheerios, but I hope your day got better.

    2. NONE of the aftermarket products I’ve purchased have ever come with instructions.

    3. Forums are to ask questions and get ideas from others who have installed similar mods. If you haven’t done this, why even bother responding.

    4. Thank you for the vote of confidence! I did do it my way and it worked out!

    5. ESPERO QUE TENGAS UN EXCELLENTE DIA!

So, if none of them never came with instructions, that means that all of them came with instructions?

I wonder if there's a way to wire them them so that they only come on as amber turn signals and not as DRL/Turn combo, assuming it even has amber switchback mode?

From the pictures I have seen, it seems they look more like tusks than fangs.
