Yesterday I bid farewell to my trusty steed. I missed her a bit on the way home saying goodbye to all the hours (and $) I invested in her but her towing limits and my wife's increasing difficulty to climb aboard left me little choice. In her place is a 2017 Ford Expedition EL Limited 4WD. I certainly miss the nimbleness of the 4Runner but it has already passed my Grandson's approval and the wife seems to like it so here we are... I'll check in from time to time to see what's going on but now I'll mostly see who I can annoy on the Expedition forum...

Any pics of the new ride?

In 2019, after years and thousands of posts on the wranglertjforum, I also sold my TJ and bid farewell to those folks. Most everyone was gracious, like here, and I poke my head back in there from time to time.

I've enjoyed your input here, good luck with the Expedition.

Thank you GL and all the other with such gracious posts. One addendum: of all the great posts I have read and learned from on this forum one in particular stands out above the others. I "think" it was Electroboy that offered a link to another forum that featured a "how to" tap into the lift-gate circuits to add a remote rocker switch (cargo area) that allows one to lock/unlock all the doors and to operate the lift-gate window without having to reach over the seat, turn the ignition on, then operate the lift-gate window using the OEM switch (when sleeping in the back). That was the most handiest mod I did to the runner. The link took you to the guy who totally researched and drew out a basic schematic, through some parts in and offered the kit for sale. It worked as advertised. I took it a step further by tapping into the new circuit and created a new hiddened lock/unlock switch in the event we somehow locked the keys in the car - I know no one on this forum has ever done that.... well maybe one I can think of. :help:
