The cameras should be a help. No stupid more YouTubers yelling Driver!! Passenger!! That tells me right there they don't have a clue on spotting. Way back when we were wheeling our Baja Bugs it was all about having rope and a spotter holding on to prevent a roll over.

I am kind of sad the Venture will not be in the lineup. That was my favorite trim level.

The venture is literally a trdorp with a yakima basket, front black valance, no rear valance, and trd pro wheels. You don't even get a trd shift knob.

Ok, I'm a little bummed I didn't wait and get Lunar Rock in the TRDORP. :p

Here's a question - with the release of LED high beams across the board, does that mean we could upgrade our 2021's with the 2022 lights?

The reason I liked it is because I got the options I wanted for over 1500.00 less than adding them on as an option on another model or after the sale. I don't like the TRD shift knob. You know how it is. Personal preference.

Same reasoning here. The venture edition gave me the extra options out the door, that I would have added later (and without having to shell out premium "market value adjustment" to go all the way to the top model).

TRD Jon is right to question why they are adding these features for just one more production year.

It's because the 5th gen will be in production past fall of 2022.

Don't expect a 6th gen to come out until at least early 2023.

At this point, it looks like the chip shortage will last through the end of 2022, at least. Which means 6th gen will get pushed out to MY24. Just a guess.

I have to say this one is at the bottom of my Pro color list.

I reserve the right to change my mind until I see it in person, but I don't think I'm going to like it.

I am considering getting a pro, but it will not be this fancy color.

You might have to go used then because I think the 2021 Lunar Rock Pros are running out.

Naw, I think it’s going to be AG ORP, or MGm Pro.

My 17 taco is MGM, only because they didn’t have a green option.

Ah, gotcha. I like that they are incorporating more of the Limited features in the Pro.

That’s why the Pro is on the list, the wife wants dual climate and some other things we had on our Limited. I want the off road capabilities and features. I’m intrigued about the new camera set up on the pros.

I heard a rumor and the person was adamant that Dual Climate Control will be on the ORP for '22 as well.

I'm hopeful as that would mean the only thing missing from the '22 4Runner for me is the memory driver's seat. At that point I don't know how I could justify getting the '22 GX 460 over the '22 4Runner for the $12K price difference when I really dislike the rear door on the GX after looking at one yesterday.

Those rear doors suck. Much better on the 4Runner...........and the rear window rolls down

For me, the only advantage the GX has is the V8. That would be pretty sweet.

I look down my nose at people offroading GX's though. Too fancy for offroading, IMO.

    Yes, I'm that petty.

Realistically I don't really offroad so that at least wouldn't be a concern. The V8 was nice just not as different as I thought it'd be during my test drive.

If I don't have a VIN by the end of September for my new 4Runner I'll probably order a GX though as the Nori Green on the Black Edition looks nice.

Yeah, I drove the 460 as well, and was underwhelmed by the V8.

I didn't mind the rear door, but honestly, I miss the barn doors on my old Suburban.

The GX470 was a much better off-road vehicle, plenty of people have them and go places. The GX460, with that giant grill that practically touches the ground, that's a big NO. Also, wtf with the Lexus model numbering.

Why not? They need to use up all that paint they ordered and didn’t use with 2021 production. Ok, not really, but seriously, why not.

Thats what I was thinking too, it may be the color but I have to see it in the sun, I feel like the green in the Tacoma pictures changes depending on where the picture was taken so this may be the same.
