Tundra can be trolled indeed... Pretty much only BIG SIZE truck out there without diesel option and joke towing/payload compared to real BIG trucks.

Just as I always say about the Prius - I would have to carry lots of paper grocery bags with eyeholes to be caught dead or alive in that fugly thing... :anonymous:

    Gross.

The wrap is an improvement. But, it's still ugly as fuck.

That truck is probably the most ugly thing on 4 wheels currently available for sale.
The wrap actually makes it better. The jokes on the Buffon in reality.

It might be ugly but they have 1.9 million orders so far. If they are making profit on that build, should be pretty good revenue for TESLA.

Also now the only 1/2 ton pickup with out a NA V8 option, they went from "tried and true More American Than American" to "More Turbo than Fords"

The choice was very strange, it's not like they were selling THAT many Tundras to make the V8 hurt them in the CAFE averages.

Behold the Plybertruck. Probably has better panel gaps than the real one will. Being built on a 1st gen MDX, more reliable too.
I'm convinced there are more Cybertruck imitations than there are actual Cybertrucks in existence. Any Cybertruck content seems to be "spotted", no real people seem to own one.

Really nice of the people who put a deposit down 4 years ago to give Tesla a 4+ year interest free loan. Even if it is fully refundable, thanks to hyperinflation your $100 you gave to Tesla in 2019 will of lost $17 of buying power. All to get an early production example that will probably have a bunch of early QC issues.

But this will be the year, just like people said about the previous 2 years. Hey at least it has side view mirrors now, revolutionary. I'm sure encouraging owners to remove them upon delivery wont cause any problems with a vehicle that ways as much as a tank and looks like it came out of Atari Battle Zone.

Gasoline engines will be discontinued in 7 years in some jurisdictions, 12 years in others. Figure in 20 years gas stations may become harder to find.

Don't worry, gas stations will be around in 20 years. You might think countries like Saudi Arabia are responsible for high gas prices (and they are), but it is not in the countries interest to make it so high that they inadvertently end the US [over]reliance on cheap gasoline. Gasoline will get more expensive, but these giant oil companies know the role they can play in their own demise if they give too much reason for people to ditch gas powered vehicles.

California could ban new gas vehicles in 203X, but it wont make the millions of gas vehicles on the road go away over night. The average age of a vehicle is 12 years, so assume it's affect will take a little under that amount to really be visible.

New Prius looks pretty good. We'll probably pick up a plug-in version once prices settle down.

You are right, it does look better. I have talked smack about the Prius for many years. To be honest, it is not the car that I have a problem with. It is the way they are driven. In the event that some day I have to eat my words and become a Prius owner, rest assured it will only be driven in power mode and I will drive it like I stole it.

I have never had an issue with Prius drivers, have had numerous issues with full size truck owners who think they own the road.

The Saudi oil kings and giant petrol companies like Chevron, Shell, Saudi Aramco, etc are already MASSIVELY INVESTED in Solar and EV companies, as well as all new green-related tech companies. They have huge investments in those companies. They know the world's reliance on oil is going to take a massive hit in the next 30 years. But they aren't going anywhere and they will still be making money off us.

For me, most interesting about all this ...
    1. What happens to used cars in 10+ years when people do trade-ins for EV?
    2. Will dealerships still accept used cars after 2035?
    3. Will dealerships be able to sell used cars or will nobody want them when EV costs drop?
    4. What happens to dealerships? Ford is already pushing for online sales, non-negotiated price, and to-driveway deliveries.
    5. What happens to gas stations? How long do they survive?
    6. What happens to mechanic shops? How long do they survive?
    7. At some point, is there going to be a flood of used mechanics tools for sale?
