My ECU is throwing CEL 1x/month, even though there is nothing with the truck. It comes 1x/month and goes away after 1-2days. I used to have pedal commander connected but Ive removed it earlier this year. Ive tried disconnecting the battery for 1-2 minutes already. Has anyone seen this before and found a fix? Should I disconnect the battery for longer?

Deal with the P0014 first. Disconnecting the battery for longer will do nothing. This fault is usually engine mechanical related. Afterwards the rest may fall into line. Tough when it's that early stage/intermittant. Doubt it has anything to do with pedal commander. Many possibilities at this point. Cam phasers, VVT solenoids, plugged solenoid screen/filters, timing chain/tensioner wear. What's the mileage and how has it been maintained?

for P0014 - start with the first two easy checks:

    1) Check oil level and cleanliness.
    2) Pull the solenoids on right side of engine (facing forward, driver side is left bank, passenger side is right) and check to see if they work...numerous sources on line on how to check with a voltmeter. Start by shaking them, they should rattle easily...magnet is loose as it should be. If it doesn't rattle, probably gunked up. Changing a solenoid is simple as long as access is not contortionist grade or you need princess sized hands to remove fasteners. If this is the issue, the code will self correct after a few run cycles if you replace with new. Might be worth getting the Toyota specific code (P0014 is a generic code). If this doesn't correct it...you need to start checking the timing problems.

Those other malfunctions sound like maybe a harness got chewed?

If it is throttle related then it is easier to troubleshoot. I would clean up the MAF, the throttle body, get all the carbon out of the system gently and disconnect the battery while you are it. This will reset the idle as well and might give you a chance to isolate at least the intake part of the system. Check for any vacuum leaks or hoses around the intake system that could be damaged or cracked. Let us know how you get on it with it.

Theres nothing wrong with the car. I took it to two dealership to investigate the error issues. They found nothing. Like I said it comes once a month for a couple of days, then vanishes. I cant think of a trigger. It’s something with the ECU.

That is exactly how a failing solenoid behaves. Intermittent code after so many miles or on/off cycles. But it should store the code when scanned.
