Alright so here’s the deal, I’ve been noticing that there’s an issue with the upright part of my seat starting to make a clicking sound when I accelerate after being coming to a stop in traffic. It seams to me that something is loosening on the seat, can anybody out there give me any kind of insight into how to fix this? I’m a handy guy who’s not afraid of getting into fixing stuff with my own hands just need a step by step procedure on how to fix.

    Thank you in advance

I started to notice some noise coming from my seat back, or perhaps the pivot area, the other day. It happens if I shift my weight front or back, so probably similar to your situation. New noise as it's wearing in I guess.. I'm at 10,000 miles. If it persists I'll take it in for warranty. Something sounds loose, yes.

Our 18 Highlander gets a bit of a click from the lumbar adjusting area. Thought I remember someone on forums saying that a spring end on a plastic plate was responsible for it. I havent noticed the click in a while though, so maybe the parts are starting to wear in.

If yours is totally repeatable, Id take it in for warranty.

Maybe I’ll have to bring it to the dealership just to have them say “we can’t hear anything “ haha
