Do you Like the Lime Rush, or wish you got a different color?

I have been trying to find real life pics of the TRD Pro in Lime Rush. Only a few on here.

My question for those that have this color, do you still love it, or do you wish you went with something else? If you have any pics, can you post them up? I'm curious to see how the color changes in different light.

I was going to "order" a Lime Rush as soon as they opened up in August, but I decided to wait. Then, I was in a position where I needed a car immediately (fleet vehicle/work thing changed), so I bought a 2022 Off Road that someone else gave up.

It's been growing on me, and is certainly a nice vehicle, but it is not exactly what I wanted, so I find myself still wanting the Pro. (Yes, I am one of those people that like having heated seats, built in garage door openers, auto climate control, etc. I am spoiled, I know, and I am ok with this.)

Happened to drive by my dealer the other day, and there was a white Pro on the lot (pre-sold, of course). I went to talk to "my guy", and tried to see what the Pro wait list looked like. About 8-10 requests ahead of me, so he told me we could put a request in, and that it would take about 6-8 months to come in.

So, I left my deposit on a white one, spec'd out with exactly what I wanted, and no extra BS. My concern now is I am already regretting not "ordering" the lime rush green one. Therefore my question above...if you got it, do you love it?

Well, you won’t have any problem finding it in a parking lot.

I don’t dislike it but I don’t really like it much either.

whole reason I got a 4runner is because I fell in love with voodoo blue. Get what you like.

Get what you like. Remember when lunar rock came out, everyone said it was hideous and towards the end everyone was desperate for one and people were paying up to a 20k markup

No opinion on the color but I would certainly want to see it in real life out in the sun. Harley Davidson has used paint colors that on paper look blah but when you see it shining in the sun it is a completely different animal.

I would not be surprised the 23 4runner Pro will have the new 22 tundra pro color Octane. Also I think the lime rush is a young kids color. Not for me.

I initially did not like the Lunar Rock color. I saw it first on a Tacoma and later on a Sequoia on dealership lots when it first came out and I was not impressed at all. I wanted the MGM color, but finally saw a LR 4R and it looked pretty good. Saw a second LR 4R and I was hooked. No regrets! I really would have liked one in Cement, but LR has proven to be a pretty desirable color choice on the 4R.

Yeah I did not like LR at first but then it grew on me a lot.

I really like Cement too gosh I wish I could have got that with an ORP

There is a new Mustang Mach 1 that has my eye in similar color called fighter jet gray. Maybe a good summer car. Sorry to digress

I think the safest way is to see in person.

Even if I see one in person and take pics it is not going to give you the exact same picture. Color my eyes see vs what my DSLR capture vs what my phone camera capture is very different.

And the color tastes will differ from person to person. My best color is Army Green (even though I don't have it) vs so many like Lunar Rock.

I agree with this, but I can’t seem to find one locally to see, this is why I asked for pics on here. I don’t trust the graphics on Toyotas website.
If I could get an army green or lunar rock, I would. Wife has a 2021 white Tacoma, and I do like the white, I just feel like I want something different than all of the other white 4Runners out there. No offense, of course

My personal opinion is that I think Lunar Rock is miles above Lime Rush. So much so that I purchased a 21 over the 22 a couple of months ago just because there was no way I’d ever want my daily driver to be neon yellowish green. It’s just too much to me being an older man closing in on my late 40s. To each his or her own though.

I agree! Lol I have a 2019 white TRDOR currently. I had a deposit down on the LR but with all the shenanigans at the LA port, toyota moved my allocation to a ‘22. Going with a Lime Rush. I haven’t seen the color in person but it sure is different! I like different. I say get what you want, I can vouch for being done with white lol.

Thanks. Up front I'm running half of the TRD Pro lift from Toytec, and in the rear I've got Eibach T13 +1.5" springs from Wheelers Off Road. Tires are 285/70-17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Thanks. I've been a fan of Cavalry Blue ever since I first saw it on a 4R at an FJ Summit event in Ouray, Colorado a few years ago.

Thanks. Rack is a Crestone, from Sherpa. I really like the way that it is mounted, and design compared to some of the similar racks.

While I like the "unique" colors offered on the 4Runners, (I especially liked the NBM), I was hesitant, thinking I might tire from a stand-out color after 2-3 years. So, being 71 and looking down the road for the next 10 years, I decided to play it safe with MGM. No regrets. It is interesting that the most popular colors - across most vehicle makes - is still variations of white, silver/grey, and black.

lime rush definitely looks better in person than on paper/online. that said it's definitely not in the top 5 pro colors for the 5th gen. i imagine the novelty would wear off rather quickly. not something i personally want in a daily i plan to keep long term.

in no particular order (because they all look great)
    • Cav Blue
    • Lunar Rock
    • Quicksand
    • Inferno
    • Cement

As much as I hate to say the AG barely misses the cut IMO. I think if it was a shade darker, I'd be all over it.

The color is horrid...makes it look like a bad ass highlighter pen with wheels.

Cement Grey and Army Green were my jam. Couldn't find them for shit in California.

I agree with these color choices 100%. None of these however, are currently available for allocation orders in my area.
Even if I could get MGM, I would. My options are limited for now to black, white, or lime rush. I actually really like the lime rush, just never seen it in person, so I am not sure how long I would like it.

if I had to choose between those three, lime rush and I am not a fan of it. But I have always said no to white and black vehicles, don't know why, just never wanted those colors.

Do what you want and get the color that you like!
I too, like others have mentioned here, didn’t like Lunar Rock - haaaaa fast forward 1 year later I bought one! It’s hard to make that decision, but typically things that we dislike at first tend to grow on us as time passes…

Remember when Ford came out with the oval Taurus in the 90’s (vehicle shape was oval, glass shapes were oval, heck even the radio bezel was oval). I laughed my ass off at that car and poked fun at it, only to buy one 2 years later!

Too funny. When the 5th Gen 4Runner came out I thought it was ugly AF. Its grown on me over the years, despite the still kinda homely predator face (looks best with Pro grill). Now I don't mind its looks at all, but can't stand 99% of Toyota design language on pretty much any other vehicle they make. Barf.
