    Hi,
I am rocking a 2021 4runner Venture non-kdss with the black trd pro rims (older version) and I am having a body shop installed an Icon Stage 7 Billet suspension in 2 weeks. My question, do I need any spacers so my UCA wont rub? I am kind of new to this and have little idea what spacer are meant to do. 4WP is telling me I do need spacers while my body shop is telling me no.

    Info:
    Icon Stage 7:
    https://iconvehicledynamics.com/acc...-0-35-stage-7-suspension-system-w-billet-uca/

    • Recommended Aftermarket Wheels: ICON Alloys | 17x8.5 with 4.75” Backspace / 0mm Offset
    • Recommended Aftermarket Tires: 33" x 11.50" (Larger tires may fit but fender trimming and modifications will be required.)
    Tires: 285/70/17 BF KO2

Rims: TRD PRO BLACK RIMS (Older Version)

    • Off-road race-inspired 17-in. x 7-in. cast aluminum wheel with 6 lug nut pattern
    • 11-mm. with 4-mm. wheel offset widens the overall vehicle track width by 0.9-in. (22 mm.) for more aggressive stance

    Thank you!

    Jenny :)

Hi Jenny welcome to the forum. I would think twice on Letting 4wp bear your vehicle or buying anything from them. Their hacks at best. I recommend finding a reputable independent shop near where you live and purchasing your suspension from a vendor. It will be cheaper.

From what it seems is you’re not on a budget I recommend hitting up @showstoppersusa and purchasing all your parts from them. They are the best priced on kings and icons. Branden can set you straight and get you an amazing deal.

if you post your general location a member can chime in and possibly recommend you a shop.

they are hacks at best. They have a high turn around and low craftsmanship for their employees. Not saying every employee but more so than not. They are a corporate entity with high volume sales. So I don’t think they care as much as smaller shop who relies on their quality. So they don’t take pride in their work usually. I can go on and on however me personally id never let them touch my vehicle. Go on yelp and look at their bad reviews.

Just my two cents, but if you don’t need that high end suspension for your off roading I would suggest looking into something different. Might be overkill, and could save you some money! Plus, you’ll have to take in your rig every 30k-50k miles to get the coilovers rebuilt!
