Do 2nd gen 4runners have any other vehicles that we can use parts as replacement?

We all know a lot of vehicles share parts between them and in my case 2nd gen 4runners are a little hard to find in junkyards. My dad is headed to the pick and pull and asked me if I needed anything for my new baby.
Here is a pic for appreciation.

Not much except for the 3rd gen Pickups.

You're welcome. If you find any parts (needed or not) that are compatible with your rig, I suggest that you snatch them up for a rainy day.
There's almost nothing available for 3rd gen Pickups and 2nd gen 4runner's.

    Happy Trails

Thank you. Here in PR there are a few 2nd gen still looking good. I am new to the club so I appreciate any feedback. I am still putting her mechanically up to date. Brake booster was replaced, replacing belts and power steering pump on Thursday. Hopefully we can scan her since I am getting a check engine light that doesn’t stay on but creeps on me at least twice a day. She lost rpm 2 days ago and turned off. Everything seemed fine with fluids and fans. A/c works everything normal check engine turned off. I love her anyway

    I doubt that it's at 75k.
This is just from my experience with my 93" 3VZ 4x4 Pickup and my 90" 3VZ 4runner.

The engines are VERY maintenance thirsty after about 125k. Even with scheduled service.
Headgaskets ARE an issue, BUT, with a PROPER rebuild and ARP STUDS they go and go and go.
Have a compression test and full inspection for leaks and emissions sensors.
Then be ready to make the final decision; Do I love her that much?

A good build on a 3VZ will run you 6k. A Lexus conversion will run around 13k. Do the math.

    1UZ vs. 3VZ
    250hp vs 150hp
    15mpg vs 12mpg
    V8 vs V6
4 liter fast vs 3 liter SLOW!!!

    JUST MY 2 CENTS...IT'S FREE.

5VZ are popular as well. But (in my opinion) why spend just as much for a V6 that's less efficient and less powerful.
