    Hi everyone,

I wanted to know if there’s a way to disable the 4Runner’s rear hatch window automatic locking and unlocking feature?

I’m referring to how when pressing the up/down arrows on the hatch it simultaneously locks or unlocks all the doors.

I saw Carista mentioned here, and read up on it. But I didn’t see if Carista has a way of doing this?

This is for a 2024 ORP.

    Thanks

Here’s a list of 4Runner features that can be modified with Carista. I didn’t see what you are looking for.

But on page 565 of my manual there is a vague mention of something that might work.

The O in column 3 indicates that the adjustment can only be performed by the dealer.

Carista will not do that. I'm not sure there is a way, but it'd be nice.

Sorry for the late reply, I was away for work.

Thank you, by the looks of that page from the manual I’m guessing it’s something the dealer has to do with the software.

I’ll try to look into it. It’s too bad there’s no other way. That whole lock/unlock thing with the rear window is a huge annoyance IMO.
