    Hey 4Runner Fam-
I have been looking for a tire carrier for quite some time. I had finally settled on the SSO hitch mounted carrier until thy went out of business. Im now leaning towards the Dirt Complex trail swing but the RIGd ultra swing is still in the mix as is the Restless Offroad bolt on. Im looking for information about the distance the tire sits from the rear hatch on the trail swing. I know the RIGd is about 7" which seems pretty far back. I'd love to see some photos of both the Dirt Complex trail swing and RIGd from the side if anyone has any. Any other brands/ options you all have an recommend?

Damn, I feel your struggle. I had an order in with Detours of Maine (DOM) before he cut and ran (luckily I was within 6 months with PayPal protection and got my money back).

I was close to pulling the trigger with DirtCom when SSO bought the engineering from the guy on the other forum.

I was apparently one of the lucky few to get the SSO delivered earlier this year before they went bust.

I did tons of research before buying again and DirtCom was top of my list. Since the SSO is no longer available, at least without some anxiety, I think DirtCom is the next best on the list for hitch mount

@Henry J had the DirtCom before going full rear bumper. I'm sure he has some good feedback on it. Not sure if he has measurements

I’ll go look for a pic or two. There are multiple homes to choose from to get it closer or further out. I had mine as tight as possible.

These are the three I used when I sold it. Those were snug, but not resting on the body, very very close to the ladder but I was still able to mount an axe and a shovel off the ladder.

Does anyone here have any ordering experience with Dirt complex? I ordered a trail swing at the end of last year and am still waiting. I hope this is not going to be a Gobi rack type situation.
