This is going to sound very stupid, but I've embraced asking stupid questions...

I used to change my own oil in my Highlander, but with the 4runner, I'm just lazy I don't want to deal with the skid plate. Plus, I'm good at breaking things. I broke a spark plug once when replacing them back in the day,...hence my apprehension here.

    I traded in my 2018 4runner for a 2022, which I only have 200 miles on presently.

I want to check the oil dipstick but it wouldn't budge when I tried pulling at it. It twists fine... but it just doesn't want to come out.

Is there a trick for taking the dipstick out for the first time? Like I said, I only have 200 miles and no one has removed it before. Lol

Twist & hard tug strait up should do it, when it’s out put a little oil from the stick in the oring at the top of the stick. The dipstick is very tight when new mine is still a little tight on my 21 TRD Off Road.
