I remember that when I lived in Arizona, the biggest trouble I had with DST was remembering when the various California TV shows changed when they broadcast. It mattered to me. When I had to stand duty NCO in the barracks, I really needed to know what shows came on when. Otherwise, death-by-boredom was a very real possibility.

Oh, and remembering that the bar in Winterhaven stayed open an hour extra. At least until I quit drinking. After that, I didn't care about Winterhaven at all. Not the biggest town in Cali.

I did get a lot more fishing done. I learned that the remainder of the Colorado that ran through Yuma, which wasn't much, had haunted catfish in it. I caught a couple, froze them for a week, and when I went to thaw them out, to clean and fillet them, they came back to life! Haunted catfish! I took them back to the river and turned them loose. I didn't need their spirits haunting me!

So much for caring about DST. I wouldn't care if they took a half hour from each end.

Why keep DST, why can't we keep the actual real time like AZ.

I'm going to be pissed if we permanently lose an hour of sleep all year.

But i will always know it's not the correct time. It will drive me insane.

It's almost like they are taking us out of sync with our planet Earth on purpose.

The Navajo Reservation does DST, so AZ isn't entirely free of it.

"Time" is a human artificial marking system anyway. Humans invented time for themselves. Not an animal in the world cares less about an hour passing, or a second, etc. They care about their sunrise, or sunset, maybe. That's about it. Spring has arrived, they care about. Stuff like that. It's March? Not an animal gives to shakes of their tail about that.

So, what does DST matter? Not two shakes of a tail :D

Our huskies must be an exception. They know within 5-10 minutes of when it's dinner time and make sure I'm not forgetting. :D

My pups also care. When I got up at my regular time monday morning, they looked at me as if they said, "why you getting up so early". Their afternoon walk was thrown off by a hour too.

Our dog didn’t know what was up this morning, ran up and down the stairs like 10 times when we got up this morning, normally he runs down stairs and waits near the door.
