Customized license plate ideas and some help.(updated with images)

Hello. So I’m looking into getting a customized license plate. Though the one I want to get only allows 4 characters or symbols.

so far these are free to take that I have came up with.

BYOB
!BRB! (Some symbols count as half a character)

Also need some help in maybe coming up with some other ideas. Thanks.

I recently snagged "OUTSIDE" for my new plate on my brand new 23 ORP. Plates not been delivered yet.

Why do you need a license plate that says you’re driving a 4runner or Toyota? So silly

Pick a name memorable or that means something to you.
Most people use their nicknames. Not their real names though

 

Interesting. I don't think I've ever seen a plate with special characters or punctuation (@, !). What state?

My plate is what they issued but the plate frame says "Blue Beast"! Wife's RAV4 says "Mini Land Cruiser" (in pink, of course!)

 

Never understood the appeal of custom plates.

 

Most of them are silly, so I agree with you for the most part. With my personalized plates, you can't get that specific plate type, without personalization. Mine will be Army plates with my military MOS ( military occupational specialty, job title ) on them.

Some are very clever, IMHO. From time to time I see one that I have to think about for a bit before I figure them out - I like those.

OP, how about 4NER, 4NNR, 4NR

Sometime when I go to type 4RUNNER I hit the shift key early and get $RUNNER, which I think is actually accurate. So you could use $RNR.

 

Saw this and laughed.

Also saw one one a minivan last week and laughed “PB4WEGO”.

I am sure not the vibe OP is going for but a laugh for others

I have a custom plate, my husband just has his FF plate. But, with all the panting fanboys (and girls ), waxing poetic and asking questions about what tires and wheels, re-gearing, roof-top baskets vs roof-top baskets, tapping into electrical systems to add enough lights to provide a suntan, decals from their favorite shop on Venus, cutting bumpers for clearance for that “coming up” trip to wherever, adding ridiculous amounts of USB ports, how long will it take to get my truck that I bought in another state to evade my home state’s taxes, I want to take my pack of dogs with me but how do I make sure not one speck of hair gets on anything questions, and this is the thread some people want to pi** in this guy’s Wheaties about?

Some of us like personalized plates. He was just asking for a bit of input from people he felt were as enthusiastic as he is.

OP, any one of those is cool. The hard part is getting one you like that’s available.

 

How about 5RNR? (4RNR adjusted for inflation).

Personal opinion, but the special symbols and numbers for letters makes it look like you're trying too hard. AKA looks dumb. Out of the ones you posted, BYOB has my vote.

 

On some Only option with the symbols was to make It as close as possible since the actual words aren’t available.

 

For a daily driver I have always gone for anonymity. The fewer things to distinguish your car from others the better. Blend in. Go gray. Disappear. Ordinary. No bumper stickers. Nothing. The gray car - literally.

 

I’m not a Star Wars fan, but I do like Y@TA. How about MYXP? (I hope no one has already said that one.)

 

Just out of curiosity, why? You're not going to live forever, why not have fun with your stuff? Just because it stands out, doesn't mean ppl will always mess it, or try and steal it...... was just curious not trying to start anything...

 

As I said, personal opinion. The underlined part is what I was keying into of trying too hard, but not my vehicle. Good luck with whatever you choose.

 

Lots of road rage and shootings here. I prefer to blend in and be anonymous but keep my Glocks handy.

 

Aaahhh, didn't think of it from that point of view, Yeah, I guess if there's road rage and your car stands out, easily identifiable./ retaliation would be easy for the Karen's/snowflakes out there, sad world we live in today
