    Hey everyone,

Im not new to Toyotas and chasing “pro” products at sticker. I’m currently residing in the Bay Area, Ca and am curious if anyone has recently shopped for the pros…

it seems like there are still at ton in “transit” or production (2-5 per dealer), so they shouldn’t be too hard to find … some dealers are discounting the anniversary editions also …

So my question is … are the pros somewhat attainable at sticker? Or is it still a S show

Pros are still hard to find and in most cases command a premium over MSRP. Finding a good dealer is the key and watching inventory to move fast.

Remember, most of those pros in transit are most likely someone's special order. They just show up on the dealer's website, until delivery.

As for price, look around and I'm sure you'll be able to find one at MSRP. The dealer I bought my 23 ORP from sells at MSRP.

Can anyone actually “order” a Toyota? Usually it’s the whole “allocation” game right ?

I don't think you can order anymore. More of putting a deposit down to reserve what's in the pipeline of allocation.

I ordered mine with no issue. Maybe I caught my dealer on a good day. No clue.

Also somewhat related the new color for 24 is going to be this weird darker burgundy ?

and 24 is still the current 5th gen ?

From what I've seen, what you can request may depend on where the dealer's allocated vehicles are in the manufacturing process. Some dealers get multiple vehicles per month, and they can change features somewhat freely on a vehicle that's a few months out, so it can seem like they're taking an order unless you get too far from the standard option packages. For a vehicle further along, they can only change port-installed and dealer-installed features, but there may be some flexibility. I was offered the option to change some things, but I didn't want to do anything that would mess with my pre-negotiated price for a specific vehicle that was in transit.

When I was looking a few weeks ago I only found 2 dealers at msrp for a pro. Most were 5k over and several 10k over. I put a deposit on one 5 hours away for msrp, should be here in 4 weeks.

Since you’re in the Bay: Sunnyvale toyota only sells at sticker (got my Pro at sticker 18 months ago when inventory was much tighter). They are smaller and have limited allocation (there is no Toyota order process), but what they get they will sell at sticker - they may be able to trade for your color but historically dealer trades for Pros are rare. Get your own financing through a credit union and you’ll have the best all around deal possible.

Good call. I should try em again. I actually tried to buy a pro from them… they took a deposit and then told me it was sold… weird experience

If you do, connect with Jonathan Chan (used car director but knows how to get a deal done all by email and phone) and tell him that Lucas from Cartelligent (I was a broker for 10 years and did tons of business with him back in the day… probably hundreds of deals) sent you. Another decent sales guy was Martin Tamrazi (cheesy, but honest - handled my deal).

Next year's pro color will most likely be Terra. Confirmed on the Tacoma but that's all we know so far. and yes 24 will still be 5th gen.....

If I don’t back out I will be putting a deposit down on 24 Pro at the dealership where I deal with this week. And yes it will be at msrp. Planning on going back to the 4runner.
