I guess it turned into kind of a tradition for us to go on a cruise every January/February.. it kind of breaks up the winter and is so nice visiting new places. Last year, we earned a free cruise with our casino time (went on ship with $2,000, left with $5,500!). Why they want us back when we left with more money than we went on with, I dont know :spending:

Going on our 8th cruise in January, 4th time in a row on the Carnival Magic (our favorite ship -got engaged on it even), 8 days going to Aruba (1st time), Curacos (1st time) and 2 port stops in the Dominican Republic (3rd time). We went on Royal Caribbean a few times too but honestly, I don't go on vacation to be around screaming kids and RC is just too family friendly for us and the ship was too big to enjoy (Symphony). On Carnival, the party goes all-night-long and there aren't as many kids :D

Anyways, anybody else have any cruises booked this winter?

Nope if I'm going on the ocean its in my boat to fish.

Sitting on a floating hotel isn't my idea of fun.

Not this winter, but planning one to Greece this spring. We've been on a dozen I guess...Mexico, Alaska, and every island in the Caribbean.

What line do you prefer?? I really want to do Alaska next, as we've been to all of the islands we've ever wanted to see (some 2-3x now) in the caribbean, and 1 mexican cruise.

Princess cruises in Alaska were great! We missed the boat for 2 days but finally caught up to it. I would go again!

Hhaahhaahha!! Hey, I've been on an older Royal Caribbean ship that was oof-ish, and a Carnival one too. The new RC ships have a lot more "ooh and ahh" factor with big lavish extravagancy, the new Carnival ships are more straight to the point fun.

I always tell people: Royal Caribbean is if you want to bring your parents, in-laws and/or kids on a cruise. Carnival is for when you want to bring your friends or your partying brother in law. lol I'm 43 with way too much energy for my age range. Carnivals my jam (also Im from Detroit) :santa2:

Same. Except its called pop :D We bring a few bottles of Chard on board and a 12-pack of Diet Coke. All the lines have switched over to Pepsi products (yuck). That was traumatic for me. lol

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Our last cruise was 3 years ago. Our neighbor heard we were going and she was a mucky muck for Princess before she retired last year, she upgraded everything for us.
Including $650 onboard beverage credit for EACH of us……we tried our best to use it up from what I remember…….

That was the Alaskan cruise we did 3 years ago AND 25 years ago. We liked the older cruise better, it wasn’t so commercialized as the more recent one. Our favorite part of the older one was the family helicopter ride to walk on the glacier, the kids loved it. We are probably done with cruising now though, I don’t think my liver could take it…..

I bought a mask for twenty bucks, swam around the rocks, and saw dozens of tropical marine fish and growing corals. Im thinking about taking a micro pole? There are two types of urchins you can handle one. But gonna do a snorkle excursion and ride a horse in the sea.

We've done a lot on Princess...although the last one was a little bit of a letdown. (Food and service weren't quite as good as they had been on previous cruises...and that was pre-Covid) Royal Caribbean was fun, but not relaxing. We're doing Virgin for Greece and have heard great things about that.

I've done 2 Disney cruises. The 3 day and the 7 day. This was before the prices went ballistic. They do a very good job and they don't shove the mouse down your throat. Both were Caribbean cruises. The 7 day was pretty unique as we sailed with a hurricane. The captain told us he didn't know where we were going but we were going to have a good time. Every morning we woke up in a new port but had no idea where we were at. Also, every morning they give you the days itinerary and there was soo much to do we were arguing what to do first. Really want to do an Alaskan cruise next sailing with a different company that's affordable.

My cruising has been limited to gray boats where everyone (but me) wore the same outfit. That was sufficient.

Not lately, not sure whats going on. I think there was an actual brush burning business and also raised trash service ten bucks, so they burn it.

A few guys were drinking taquilla and head-butting each other. So they left them in Honduras. And the jails there they dont feed you.
