I installed the Toyota App on my iPhone, but did not actually complete enrollment for the Connected Services Trial. I didn't complete it because, as best I can determine, I am not interested in any of them, and don't want to initiate something that will be auto renewed at some point in the future. So, Safety Connect and Service Connect are slightly interesting, but certainly not essential. Insure Connect seems at best useless, and worst intrusive. WiFi Connect is interesting, but I have cell phones with data plans that are generous beyond my needs. I can't think of a time when I would use Remote Start, and I can't even confirm it would work. So, I'm asking; am I missing something, or am I just not a prime target market for these Services?

I have a 21 ORP so no remote start capability. For me this is app is worthless It tells me how much gas I have and last time I started it. I agree with you on the other services for me they add no value but maybe others.

If remote start was an option maybe I’d sign up. I don’t need the accident alert or wifi etal. To each their own though

I think you get the first year free, and then its a paid deal after that. There is zero value in the app that I have found so far.

How I view it? You are the prime target…in the same way that facebook/google targets and grooms users as a product to sell. Facebook/Google are a bit more sophisticated in how they engage their product, because they offer services that are considered desirable by their products.

Toyota is still clumsy in this game, and obviously assumed that customers would trip all over themselves to sign up for a “service” that doesnt even go past the title page.

I have a 22’ and the wife loves the app. The remote start, lock/unlock, notifications, etc. seem to work great for her.
I do admit, the remote start is very convenient via the app. Especially during these cold mornings before dropping the kids off to school.

    Kyx nerfbars, TRD roof rack.
I turned off the insurance one also. That's just spying. Remote start may be good in extremely hot or cold regions. Mine didn't come with it even though the lights flash with the remote. I may keep the onstar type service and the find my car feature may not be bad but Mine also did not come with that.

    All of them.
Funny you mentioned that I just remembered I had the app and I looked it up. I sold the 4R with 26,000 miles on it. And it was named onyx in the app. I just opened it it has a full tank of gas 29876 miles and all the features are turned on and has an oil change appt this weekend. Freaky they didn’t disable that.
