Hello everyone! I am a proud new owner of a 2019 4runner and I was wondering what are some trouble spots to keep an eye on for rust on these guys?
    Thanks

    Welcome!

Take care of your frame and the rest of your under carriage and you should be good to go. That is the most important part for rust protection if you ask me. Clean and paint any rust then undercoat like hell. Regular rinsing is imortant too if you are in an area that uses road salt or a coastal area. There is plenty of info you can search through here and on tacomaworld.com on rust prevention.

The Air Conditioning drain. Extend the hose down through the inner fender/plastic drop past bottom of the frame. I will try to post a pic later.

Thank you for this reminder! I just noticed the water dripping from the frame the other day, and thought it was pretty stupid they couldnt extend that drain a few inches.

Is this where the ac water usually drains? Mine is right by front passenger body mount

i tried to root around in there, but never saw or felt where the hose actually terminated

When I first bought my T4R I thought that evap drain was plugged. Long story short, the humidity here is so low in the summer, less than 20% that it barely dripps condensation if at all when the AC has been running.

From what I've gleaned so far on this site, the rad support. There's a strip of foam between the support and the rad or condenser. The foam holds water and the support rots out. I'm either removing the foam or impregnating it with grease to keep out the water.
