check engine lights came on

    2012 blue 4runner
    My wifes truck is driving fine my daughter was pushing buttons in the truck then check engine, VSC off, VSC Trac, came on I un hooked the battery and it still came back on what is vsc? What should I do?

    Take it to auto zone and have the codes read and light cleared. Could be as simple as needing a new gas cap. Not sure what button she pushed to set off check engine light.

    Best bet would be to a code scanner come up and see why the CEL came on. The other two VSC lights probably came on only because the CEL did.

    I just had my VSC Trac and VSC OFF lights come on for seemingly no reason about a week ago. I took it back to the dealer I just bought it from and they said that I have a bad brake sensor. I wasn't able to get it replaced that day so I'm going back this week. I'd say try to check the codes like the others said, and see if there's something else that may be setting them off.
