Anyone expecting their new 4runner getting delayed because of the CDK hack?

I went to order some parts, and there was a warning at the top saying orders were delayed to issues with CDK

Someone mentioned the other day they were at the dealership consummating a sale, and everything was having to be done by hand. The computers were down.

The dealer near me sent an email saying "everything's up! We're not affected!" so I imagine they're enjoying what I would guess to be a small windfall.

I was waiting on mine for the last 6 weeks to get through port and PIOs, it got delivered to dealer on 6/25. Dealer did DMV paperwork and sent the car out on a loan agreement, they're sitting on contracts until CDK recovers, F&I guy showed a stack he had where we'll all have to come back and sign actual contracts. Said they'll have a menu" to pick from when people have to come back to compensate for the inconvenience, I see it as an interest free loan so all good in my book.

My guess is that its dealer specific, if they have a work around in place to sell cars they'll make it happen like my dealer did this week. For reference I'm in San Diego and my 4Runner came through the Long Beach port.

Word on the street is that Toyota didn't want to pay the ransom request so if you have ever purchased anything from a vehicle, to parts, to service, all your information is now out on the dark web...SSN, bank account info, credit card info. Watch your accounts closely.

Considering other big corporations like AT&T have been hacked and held for ransom recently, unless one has been living completely off the grid (is that even possible?) our personal data has been on the dark web for a number of years. I think all we can do is watch our accounts.
