I am considering this just for the ease of oil changes due to the cutout for the oil drain, I do not off-road, so the reduced protection isnt an issue. I have asked several You Tube content creators about the gap where the OEM plastic piece used to be. Is there a way to reinstall it to protect the radiator from debris, or is that not really necessary for me.

I have been wanted to use it but haven’t done it. My BB skids don’t have provisions for it so I thought about drilling and tapping holes. I’d say it helps divert air into the radiator.

OK, this is a different skid plate than I asked about, but perhaps I can Mcgyver it up there.

    Hey there,

I am looking to sell my Cartrim skid plate in about a month or so. I have a full set of RCI skids to be installed but I waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. Anyway, I also have the RSG filler plate that will fill that gap perfectly. My set up has been great and the condition is in excellent shape. Both have been installed less than two years and have not taken any sort of hit. The Cartrim skid plate is for my 2023 ORP equipped with KDSS. If you are interested, I am looking to part with both for $150. It be pick up only because it would cost too much to ship. I am located in Denver.

Here is the RSG Off-road filler plate

The aluminum skid extends quite a bit farther forward from the crossmember compared to the stock steel skid, so the plastic piece is unnecessary.

The stock steel skid ends where the red line is:

^That's a no-name eBay skid with the same profile as the TRD and CarTrimHome skids. The CarTrimHome skid just adds an oil filter opening.

OK, the oil access panel is the main reason for switching!

No worries, but without a photo or link it’s just a suggestion.

In the future, the more info (link or photo) you supply when asking for advice, the easier it will be for us to help you.

I cut my plastic OEM trim to fit the CTH skid.

Ok, my mistake then. I thought the skid you were asking about looked like the one I referenced but without the hole for the oil filter access.

I don’t have a pic right now on my phone, I’ll send later
my mind had the same thought you did. I kept the original piece & trimmed it with a Dremel , trim to fit took a few attempts to get it right
