So I have a 2024 TRD Pro with CarPlay. The system worked flawlessly for two months since new, then I started have problems with the volume, where the it would intermittently lock at the last volume I had the radio set at, but I could disconnect then reconnect CarPlay and it would start working again. Over time, the problem happened more often. Now, for the past three weeks, the volume is locked at the same level and cannot be adjusted. The volume is the same no matter what app I’m using. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it several times with no success. I posted on two Apple forums and haven’t gotten a response that has worked.

Try a different iPhone to rule out if it’s a car or phone problem.

Also, remove the Toyota car from CarPlay altogether in the iPhone. And set it up fresh.

There may be a procedure to reboot the head unit itself that’s separate from normal turning the car on/off, I’d try that.
