In the rear cargo area, there are two chrome tie-down D rings. I have attached two pictures, with the rings circled in red. Besides using a cargo net attached to these rings, to secure a load, will these rings handle a tie-down strap, whether it be a grip-type clamp or a lightweight ratchet-type strap? Please advise. Thank you.

I’ve secured a 100+ lb. cart with ratchet straps at these points several times with no issues. Highway traveling only though. No off-roading.

Those tie-downs will handle anything you can lift. Strap away.

I use them to die down gas cans when I go on jetski trips.

I used them with ratchet straps to hold camping gear. I now use the two near the hatch with a Raingler net. No issues with either setup
