I watched a Utube where a guy match-marked the bolt ( I’m assuming cam-bolt) and the alignment washer. He was just loosening the bolt on the LCA to allow it to pivot down for shock-spring removal. He implied if you put them back in same place a new alignment was not needed. Anyone ever done this? Will it work?

    done some stuff to it
    It's fine.
I've installed lifts even with that method, skipped getting alignment.
If handling is good and no obvious tirewear issues, then no need to pay for alignment.
In theory, you should get an alignment but I think alignment techs are prone to half-ass their work which negates benefits.

most shops charge about 125$ for an alignment. You should probably get an alignment every 10 thousand miles anyways

Yes, when me and my buddy install the Ironman lift at home we did that. But we did it to minimize the alignment impact since it was the weekend and drive a little bit until I get an appointment for the allignment. I did the alignment as soon as I can.
