Can I leave the abs ring off and axle swap if I don't have abs?

    I have a 97 4runner 4x4 and I need to do the rear bearings. It's has a elocker swap and the axle is from an abs runner so it has the abs ring. I don't have abs so I'm wondering if I can leave the abs ring off since I have to remove it to do the bearing?

    If there is no ABS sensor, there is no need for the ring.
