Are there any volvo owners on here? I have never owned a volvo, so any info on them would be great.

But I'm looking at getting rid of our 2017 outback for a 2020 v90 t6 wagon. Just want to make sure its a reliable vehicle for my wife.

I worked as a Volvo mechanic in college, mostly on the 140s, 240s and 740s. They were excellent vehicles, very reliable and super in the snow on northern Vermont roads. However, Volvo was purchased by the Chinese years ago and I'm not sure if the current quality is the same. I would do a lot of research before buying that V90 T6 wagon. Good luck!

for such a new vehicle definitely consider purchasing CPO warranty (there is a vendor that sells it online I believe...steingold I think?) its excellent warranty at decent price, considering you will likely need it.

out of curiosity why are you selling the outback? is it turbo/3.6? not sure when turbo was introduced.

We bought a three year old 1992 Volvo 740 wagon. It was a tank, great car, no problems. We purchased a two year old 2004 C70, beautiful car, great motor BUT cheap parts, no end of trouble with the top, the paint, plastic bumper clips and cheap leather seats. I believe there were some ford parts on it, but I really can’t remember.

bottom line IMHO, new ones are not as good as they used to be. $0.02.

Our outback is a 2017, its a limited 2.5. My wife hates the radio set up and the eyesight crap. If it was the 3.6 v6 or xt I'd probably keep it. It doesn't have Apple car play and you can't get it(which I guess my wife absolutely needs now).

In the past 5 years, we have owned 3. My wife bought a XC 60 Turbo, super fast and fun to drive. Very nice car, we sold it because my wife got a new job, and highly coincidental her fleet/work car was a brand new XC 90 Turbo as well, not as fast (because of weight), but 3 rows is really nice and we had a kid on the way, to the 3rd row upgrade made sense. Her company requires her to replace her car every 2-3 years or so many miles, we just got a brand new XC 90. We love them, only take them to the dealer for scheduled maintenance, so we don't have any opinions on longevity.
