That's where I first saw them. Hadn't visited that site in quite a while until today. When I did a Google search for those shields, all the sites that carry them listed them as a "new product" so I figured I'd post them up. I'd imagine a two piece design might be a little easier to handle during installation too. Price is definitely right.

Ordered - I'll do a writeup on the install when they arrive.

I know a few people in my club have them (local to Caliraised in Ft Worth). They bolt on and are supposed to be compatible with anything. I had already gotten the RCI add one, or I would have gone with these.

They seem thin. 12ga is .105”. So they’re definitely weaker than the RCI or Talons. But I think you could make the argument that this particular skid plate application isn’t meant for any skidding, but deterring. A thin deterrent is as effective as a thick deterrent, and lighter too?

    Following for the reviews :)

    I 3rd this. 3-4 weeks out?
I hope it clears the 3 pieces of RCIs I have underneath.

I just bit the bullet and ordered the Cali Raised cat shields. I rather take precautionary actions and a bit of piece of mind when my 4Runner is parked outside. It can still happen but hopefully its enough of a deterrent to stop thieves.

I didn't see this mentioned above, but one advantage of these is wouldn't you be able to service (grease) the drive shaft, as well as drain the transmission, without having to remove the cat shields, as you have to with all the other versions?

If these had been available prior to my purchase of the MillerCat shield, they'd be on my 4R today.

I recently put the Cat Security shield on. These (Cali Raised) look very good and protective, for half the price of Cat Security. If I had it to do over, I think I would get Cali Raised.

I think you're right - look at the underside pics on Cali's website. No email from Cali yet on my order but I'm in no rush.

Doh! You're right. I didn't see that - but it's not anywhere on the ordering page. No big deal, but thanks for that!

Ordered a set as well. At my place of work we have spent over $20k on work trucks in the last 6 months due to cat thefts. I’ve been waiting for a simple bolt on solution for some added protect when I work late.

I’ll follow up with a review in 3-4 weeks when they come in!

I’m curious to see what these look like, installed with an existing transmission skid plate.

Would appreciate pictures from those who actually install and whether any routine maintenance would require removal.

Removal for routine maintenance has been my hesitation on the others available.

just an FYI - I heard today that these CaliRaised Cat plates will not work with a TRD OEM skid. I cant confirm the accuracy but it came from an established off-road shop that works exclusively on Toyotas. If anyone has experience with the install and has gotten them to work with the factory skid let me know.

Odd, since Cali says it will work with anything and everything when it comes to skids. If that's not the case they should be made aware.

Since they are weeks off from shipping I won't be able to post any pics for some time. But I'll do my best once they come in. Mine's a pavement princess so I don't have any skids other than the OEM front one.

Hi! This will work with front skid plates ( The one in our install video has a TRD SKID ) They are in complete different location so 100% no interference whatsoever.

@jake long15 thanks for the confirmation. You all should reach out to R4T in Denver and just let them know as they are a major re-seller and told me this week it wouldn't work with my TRD Skid. Im sold and will be placing an order with Cali Raised!
