Hello friends, so I’ve reviewed all the rock slider options. Was interested to hear from those who own C4 or Westcott. I need ones that work well as a step and read the C4s are connected at a 45degree angle. Anyone have pics of those up close and underneath?

Westcott looks great but wanted a step type and not full 90 degree angle.

    thoughts are appreciated.

You got it! If you're anywhere near AZ, you should stop in to Westcott ... sometimes they have blems that don't pass their qc (like my rack) and you can't even tell why. They had to show me the slight scuff on the powdercoating of my rack for me to notice and I got it for a good discount. Their attention to detail and quality is the best I've seen in person. They were super helpful too.

As requested, picture of Wescott Designs 0 degree sliders installed. I did not want the "steps" on top as these work well enough for me as is.

@raimieb here's my 0 degree Westcott sliders with top plate. They work incredible as steps and my 7 year old is a testament. I can take pictures from a lower angle if you want

I dunno...I have the Westcott 20's and they function as a step just fine for my girlfriend, nieces/nephews, and me when I'm loading up the roof rack. Since I spend a lot of time off road I wasn't willing to sacrifice the clearance lost with the 0's.

These are Westcott sliders at 0 degree w/ kickout and top plates. Some of the best sliders on the market all made in house. I see you have made up your mind and going with them and I am late to the game but if you have any other questions let me know. I have the owner, Jeff on speed dial haha.

If I were a "hardcore" offroader, these would be my choice for sliders without a doubt.

After receiving their skids and having the engine skid with a horrific weld (returned) and awaiting product I wouldn't go with that company. Even the sales rep said we have multiple stages of QCs and this should have been caught. Looking at their weld quality it would be a hard pass on any of their products.

Not trying to bash a company as their customer service was great and mistakes happen but when spending this amount of money we expect quality products.

On the Westcott 20 degree sliders, y’all find them easy to use for the driver as a step to enter the vehicle? Not your toe barely on there but a genuine step without slipping.

It is useable as a step, but I don’t think it is the deepest step you could find.

Thanks for all the photos and input guys. Ordered the Westcott 0 degree with top plates in DOM/TIG. Cost a pretty penny but I've seen too many posts of other brands rusting within the first year or two. Will post photos once arrived and installed.

Jealous! They are on my list but a few spots down. I've seen them in person when I stopped by their shop to get my rack and they are so nice. Congrats!!!
