C4 low profile with Elka springs

Anyone running a c4/winch with Elka DC remote reservoirs? Finally made a decision on going with c4 and looking for feedback on spring choices for the extra weight.

 

Elkas come with 700lb coils, that’s more than enough.

 

That bumper only weighs 75lbs. That weight is equivalent to a large dog or small child. Your springs should be fine.

 

With the warn evo winch isn't it closer to 150 lbs weight added? I am hoping the Elka springs can handle it but am prepared to upgrade if needed. Not many folks running Elka which always limits the feedback

 

Again, 150lbs isn't much. You add more weight to your truck when you carry passengers around inside it. Or haul camping gear in the cargo area.

If your springs cannot handle 150lbs, then you need to toss those springs and get some that are worth a damn. I had a C4 steel bumper on my 21' Tacoma, it handled the weight just fine with OEM shocks & springs. I didn't have winch, and the front end did not sag at all.

 

I have Elka 2.5 DC's on mine with a C4 Lo Pro Stealth and the high clearance additions, I also have the C4 washer tank cover and Warn winch. The 700lb weight springs on the Elka's are perfect. I get no nose dive or excessive roll and the ride quality is great. You will love the Elkas with the C4.

 

stock crash bumper is like 30-40 lbs, so youre really only adding 35-45 lbs in reallity.
