I had a softball size something bust my grill on the interstate yesterday. Are the $150ish TRD grills decent or junk??

For sure, they’ll look better than a softball sized hole! Apparently they have a gap at each end of the cross bar piece that can bother some compulsive obsessives but from 10’ you can’t tell the difference from OEM. It’s just a piece of plastic. I’m not into aesthetic mods, but I’d buy one for a repair.

I just bought one from Cartrimhome and it’s good quality. Has a very small gap on the ends as mentioned but you can’t tell whatsoever from a distance.
I did redo the letters as I screwed them up the first time and were crooked.

FYI...all heritage grills, including factory, have gaps. The knock-off ones seem to have a decent reputation, the only downside is you have to attach the letters yourself and you might mess it up and install them uneven.

I hope this picture was taken before you re-attached the letters. If not, they are still messed up. Your "O" are not properly aligned. They are not perfect circle, they are oval inside and you have them pointing the wrong way.

Yes, I have since then redone the letters as I noticed how horribly I screwed it up lol.

Do the letters have an alignment dowel?

Would this grille fit on the Limited?

I think you’d need to change out the bumper cover too. That sounds like a big job, but it isn’t really. It’s amazing how easy it is to remove. Also, it’s not a expensive part. The most expensive part of it would probably be to match up the paint. I’m not sure why you would want to do this, though. Limited’s have a look of their own, kind of cool.
