I am planning on adding a front winch bumper and winch soon and have some question on suspension needs

for reference I am looking at the Iron Man Raid bumper-weighs around 117 pounds.

adding a winch in the 9500 rating would bring me up to around 200 total added weight to the front.

While I am not looking for a bunch of lift, my rig has KDSS and I like the way it handles on road.

with that in mind, can I go with adding stiffer springs, giving a slight lift, or should I go with coil overs and rear shocks?

Anytime you add weight, especially to one end or another, you’d probably do best getting springs and shocks that can handle it. However, anything you do is going to change how it feels. Whether a change is bothersome, depends on how you perceive it as a driver.

I will say however, as somebody who is more sensitive to how a vehicle feels on the road, the 4runner is a peach. Even though its character has changed a bit everytime I mod something, it still feels good, just in a different way. The only thing that bothers me is when the suspension doesn’t feel balanced front to back.
