How close do you want your bump stops to the "contact patch" on the front lower control arms and the rear differential?

I have superbumps in the front and I'm looking for a upgrade for the rear.

The only way of I know to figure this out is to remove the coilover, reassemble and articulate the suspension. You want the bumpstop to fully compress just before you run out of ball joint movement or some other component hits anything. Make sure you do this with and without the wheel and tires installed as this could be the limiting factor in some cases.

Thanks for the idea. I'm using sumo springs bump stops in the rear, so I'm trying to get them as close as possible but without limiting up travel.
