i so echo what people are saying. Those cheap "brush guards" give a false level of security. Save your money and invest in whats pictured above @TrailSpecial22

I myself would not go there but it is at least legitimate protection.

If you’re talking about the radar/collision sensor, you can’t remove or disable it (or block it) without having permanent error lights on the instrument panel. And you lose all the collision avoidance safety features and radar cruise.

If you mean parking proximity sensors on the higher trim levels, I’m not sure.

As a side note, is that these types of bumpers do remove some impact protection from the front edges in front of the wheels.

The aluminum crash bumper that is removed to install “slimline” or low profile which-mount bumpers also have a pretty stout piece of square steel tube on each side at a rearward angle. It’s debatable how strong it is by itself, but I think the steel tube is more to cause deflection so that crash damage is shunted outward to the corners of the vehicle where the tire/wheel and main body mounts can participate in taking crash forces.
    IMG_6313.jpg
Without these tubes, there are some potential vulnerabilities where damage can reach the cabin nearly unimpeded. For example, in a crash, a sturdy concrete pole could potentially make to the cabin hardly slowed down by anything. On one side of the frame rail, maybe an engine mount is in the way, and the other side of the rail, the control arms are in the way. For that reason, I’d prefer to have a full width steel plate bumper over the one I have now.
