Just a brief "hello". I've been lurking on this forum for many months to gather info, opinions, and ideas. About 3 weeks ago, we bought a 2020 2WD Super White over Sand Beige SR5P for my wife. Over the past few weeks, I've done some appearance mods, including:

    - black overlay kit on front and back emblems, removed the "SR5" badges on the C pillar
    - TRD Pro wheels with Falken Wildpeak ATW tires, stock size
    - black exhaust tip
    - H9 low-beam bulbs
    - Toyota OEM LED foglights
    - painted the roof rack siderails black with SEM Trim Black
    - painted the front chrome "mustache" with the SEM paint
    - got the front windows tinted

I've got some black OEM-style running boards arriving next week, to complete the "blacked out" look.

She's loving it so far, and though she was hesitant about the mods at first, she's totally on board now that its almost done. I know it looks like a lot of the other 4Runners out there, but the white/black look is awesome and just what I was going for. DSC03332.jpg DSC03333.jpg DSC03335.jpg DSC03338.jpg

    Very nice.

What's your take on the H9 low beam bulbs vs stock, and which did you go with? Was that particular installation very complex?

    Thanks.

I was able to remove the inner plastic tabs on the H9 bulbs with a small, sharp chisel and they were easy to install after that. My initial impression, with the truck in the driveway pointing at the garage door, comparing side-to-side after installing just one bulb, was there wasn't much difference. But I've heard the difference is more apparent on the highway, so I'll reserve judgment until I have a chance to drive it outside town.

Thanks. Do you have a link to the place you bought them from, and which bulb they are specifically?

Let me know what you think when you get a chance to check them out on the road.

My biggest complaint about the stock headlights on low beam is there are dark patches in places...

That's great how 20s come with the power window buttons on the SR5s now. I wish my 19 had them. There have been countless times I have gone around back only to realize I left the window open/cracked. I've heard how the back glass can break if the hatch is closed while the window is not fully closed.
