    Hey all,
I am struggling to get a fix for my 2016 SR5 radio / bluetooth issue. It worked fine with my phone paired to it for over a year and then recently it will drop my calls off after a few minutes. Call stays on my phone but drops from my bluetooth connection speaker in my car.

I can still listen to music from my phone through bluetooth all day, but calls get kicked after a few minutes. I can still pick them up from the steering wheel but it cuts off on its own.

I have tried to repair the phone multiple times and also had the dealership do an update on the system which did not work at all. The dealership is basically giving me zero help at the moment.

I have tried my wife's phone too and it cuts hers off too. So not just my phone.

I basically work in my car so having this issue is a real pain in the rear. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks for reading.

    Cheers.
    Brad

Just curious - do these audio units require software updates from time to time?

No help from me. I have same problem and have been in search of solution. In 2017 sr5 started doing it about a year after purchase. Have tried three different phones. Still does it. I believe it’s in the radio side. Have not had the problem in the 2021 OR. It’s really annoying. Really looking for solution. Hope this thread delivers. Thanks all.

Yeah I had an update done at the dealership thinking it was a radio issue. But it did not work. So after more research it is a phone update issue. Not much seems to work. Some have said the direct usb cable hookup has worked and I might need to try that later.

Some have said the direct usb cable from the radio has been a stop gap solution. I will try later but figured you might want to try as well.

Does the update have a cost?

Yes it was like $82 and didnt do anything. I just tried using the accessory usb cable to my phone instead of bluetooth and calls work fine that way for now.
