Evening! Got very weak AC airflow and likely the blower motor from what I can tell. OEM is about $135, Amazon is about 60. Any thoughts on using the Amazon replacement motor or should I go OEM to be safe? Thanks for the help.

Don't buy car parts on Amazon, I elaborated elsewhere but it's risky in terms of counterfeits. (I also don't like them but that's something else)

I'd see what's on RockAuto. For this application it's easy to swap out for a defective part so I'd be more open to aftermarket part roulette but I'd want to make sure it's the blower motor and not something like a clogged cabin air filter or AC evaporator before buying anything.

I discovered generally auto blower motors usually have some kind of resistor controller which is how the different fan speeds are created. I would rule out this controller for failure before targeting motor for replacement, unless of course, you already have?

Thanks. Good point and yes I’ve considered that. I went an orders a new blower motor before I discovered the resistor possibility. I’m actually not sure which it is but may just replace both. The blower is sometimes full, then dies off to low, then comes back etc. any suggestions on how to determine if it’s the motor vs the resistor? also, I’ve heard a water sound like bubbling come from that area under the dash while driving. Nothing is leaking or wet and I only hear it when I turn left. Any ideas? I appreciate the help

Was considering looking for a Lexus GX blower motor that might be compatible for a 4 runner. Saw a post where they changed out the tundra blower motor for a Lexus GX...

Is your drain line plugged? Do you see the water under your truck when A/C is running? (You should) That could be why you are hearing bubbling water sound from under your dash.
