Ditched the Pro wheels and G2 yires that came stock on my 4Runner for a wider wheel with a better offset. I wanted the look of the SCS F5 or something without a fake beadlock. I also wanted to keep the offset closer to 0 if possible to line up the tire with the fender.

I came across the BR Rumble and found that they have all the specs I was looking for: 17x8.5” with a 0 offset. I paired them with a set of the new Toyo AT3 tires in stock size and the wheel/tire combo work really well together. The AT3s have about 500 miles on them and they ride great - smooth and quiet.

Pretty stoked with how they turned out!

Looks great! How are you liking those Toyos so far? And are the Standard load, or E rated?

The AT3s have been fantastic. They are P rated - no need for E for my needs. They are as quiet, if not more quiet than the stock G2 tires. Great in the rain as well. Very sure footed. I had Toyo AT2 tires in my Tacoma and these are definitely a step ahead.

Looks great. I'm running AT3s, too, and really like them. But mine are E-load. Lots of sharp rocks out here in northern Arizona.

I love my Toyos. Great off road, and quiet on the highway.

71702091-FFB9-447A-9065-F32BD7D1F73D.jpg I have the same wheels, very light and the best thing is you don’t see a lot of people running them. Also like that they are not actual Black and color changes depending on light, almost have a pearl to them.

    Looks really nice!

Do you have any shots of the offset lined up with the fender?

Those look great! Coincidentally, I'm looking at a second set of wheels and tires, and am all but set on some Black Rhinos as well. A different model, though.

So I recently purchased Toyo Open Country AT3’s in stock size SL rated. They came with OWL. I thought they were 39# per tire. Because the BSW tires, in the exact same size, are 39# per tire. Low and behold, the Toyo website lists the OWL as 42# per tire. Being generally bored, I called Toyo. I spoke with a representative after a short wait. She informed me that OWL tires (at least for Open Country AT3s) are exclusively made in Japan. BSW Open Country tires may be made in Japan, or made at plants in other countries. She then said that it was not unusual for the Japanese made tires to be a different weight. But, she said, usually the weight is less per tire for Japanese made. The conversation ended with her saying she would look into why the Japanese manufactured OWL tires were 3 lbs heavier than the BSW tires.

3lbs per tire is kind of a lot. I’m waiting to hear back. I’m happy with the tire, and it’s not an issue at all, but just curious because of the large discrepancy. Thought I would throw that out there.
