Mods please move if this is the wrong forum

I hope this post finds all of you safe and in good health.

I can't stand the silver center caps that came on the stock wheels of my 2019 SR5. Would love to change to black (thoughts on esthetics are welcome too) The stock wheels are 6 spoke, 19 inch (I believe) rims in silver too. Way to much silver for me especially on a gray car. Would like to start with simple mods like replacing the center caps. So some questions:
    1) would black matte TRD center caps fit these rims? (17 inch vs. 19 inch rim if I'm not mistaken)
    2) Could I just paint them or would that be tacky?
    3) Just take them off?

This is my first 4Runner and am just starting to Mod this so I don't have a lot of experience with parts interchangeability, common practice, etc.

Any help or suggestions for this noob would be greatly appreciated! Again, opinions on esthetics are welcome too.
    Respectfully,
    Colt

    The rims are all 17".

Dunno for sure if the TRD center caps will fit SR5 wheels but I highly doubt they will.

If your center caps are like mine on an 18 ORP, just remove that silver ring by bending the metal tabs in back straight. Spray paint it black then re-install. The tabs are fragile and one or more might break when you bend it back, so plan on spot glueing it in back with silicone seal or similar.

Thank you for the replies so far. Any thoughts on just taking them off and leaving them that way? Any potential rusting issues?
As always, I relly appreciate your time and help!

Lots of people do this. But prep and paint the exposed rear hubs black so they don’t rust.

The chrome "hamburgers" on my Nightshade's caps bugged the sh_t outta me. Plasti Dip remedied that. As mentioned above prep, prep and more prep for whatever you decide to do. At least with Plasti Dip, you can "undo" it if you don't like the look.
