Best way to sell stock wheels??

Hi all! New to this forum! Recently swapped my stock wheels for a new blacked out wheels on my 2016 white 4Runner. My stock wheels are collecting dust in the garage! They are 17” alloy factory original in great condition with minor wear and tear. I’ve tried selling on Facebook market places but no bites. Any suggestions? Any advice is appreciated! Also have all the bolts!

 

Get your post count up to I think its 10 on this forum, then start a for sale thread. Also Tacoma world, but you need 50 posts to sell there.

Can I ask, how much did you have them listed for on FB?

450 is on the upper end of what folks will pay for them.

 

I figured. Just listed this weekend so was gonna drop to $400 after a week.

 

Feel like I just posted on another thread just like this. I have best luck on facebook marketplace selling items. My sr5 wheels took about 8 months or so to sell. A number of offers more in the 200-250 range.

 

That’s for the info! I have a feeling I’ll have to drop them that low to just get rid of them! Wanted to sell so I can put that money back into some mods!

 

I sold mine with factory wheels (17K miles) for $350. Took a couple of weeks.

Best way. Is to give them away. Or sell cheap $50 each or so.

The oem wheels are ugly and overweight. Might as well just put oem steel wheels on.

(I'm not talking about trd pro wheels)

Yup. We know. I just gave my wheels to the shop i bought my trail wheels from.

 

Yeah I have a feeling I’m just gonna let them go for dirt cheap so I can get them out of the garage lol

 

Try craigslist and offer up.

They should fit other models like 00-06 Tundra, 96+ 4runner, 95+ Tacoma 6 lug. Add those details to the for sale ad, broadens your potential buyers.

Wheel + tire combo is a lot easier to sell. Selling only wheels will take some effort.

 

I got aluminum scrap value for my set in new condition.

Nobody wanted them.

 

I see brand new SR5 wheels going for $100-250 (set of 4) all the time near me (Central Texas)

I gave my friend (who had just bought a clean 1 owner 3rd gen) my stock wheels. A week later he bought me lunch. Now I just say that i traded them for a bag of onion rings.

 

I’m having the same problem! Haha. I have a set off my 20’ SR5 I can’t give away. No idea where to post them besides FB Marketplace.

Call used truck lots near you. You'd be surprised how quickly you can sell them reasonably priced parts.

 

Ill happily sell mine for $150-200 once I get new wheels. Id just want them gone.

 

I managed to sell one set of mine (Fresh off the truck, with 200 miles on them) for $200. On my last 4Runner, couldn't hardly give them away. Finally a friend of a friend took them for $100, and I was glad to have the garage space back. Not much market for those unfortunately.

 

Sale them cheap on FB is the only way. To many people want to swap them out for TRD wheels or some other brand. Think of it this way. Is it better to have a extra $50-$100 in your pocket and the space back now or have them for a long time and finally get the idea that they need to be listed cheap and finally get the $50-$100 in your pocket?
Either way they are worth $50-$100 and that’s about it unless you find some sucker that will pay more.

If that does not work find a used tire and wheel shop and take what ever they give you and be done with them.

 

Just a FYI, I sold a set of TRD OffRoad 17" rims (2023) for $400....had about 60 miles on them...sold in about a week. Just a guess, I'd say about $250-$300 tops for yours...and that may even be a little high...

 

Since we digging up an old thread.

The stock SR5 wheels a worthless. Unless someone is in need to replace with stock no one wants them.

Would of been easier to sell with the tires.
