I picked up a set of 4Runner black 20-inch rims that were stock on my '19 Nightshade edition. Wanna save my off-road tires for snow and actual off-roading.

Wondering what the best brand of tires would be for daily commuting. Was looking at the Michelin Defender LTX M/T, Yokohama Geolanders, Falken Windpeak AT trail and the Nitto Nomad Grappler. Any suggestions?

These are for city driving and the freeway commute to work. Looking for the following:
    1. Quiet as possible (for a 4runner, lol)
    2. traction
    3. durability

    Thanks,
    Squ1d

We have the Yoko Geolanders on our 22' LTD 4WD with 20" wheels. Really a nice and good all-round tire, especially for OEM. Does well on the muddy roads we have around here. Pretty decent in snow. Super quiet and show almost no wear at all at 25k. But..., when we wear those out, we're going with Michelin Defenders on the Limited. I can't say that the Defenders are hands-down better, but we've never had a bad Michelin tire - ever. Worth every penny. I'd agree with Polymers above. Defenders for sure.

Michelins ordered and Americas tire even gave me a military discount. Pretty cool. Now just gotta sell the wheels and tires that are on there.
    General Grabbers 285/65 R18’s
    Enkei RPT 1’s

    thanks for the advice

You'll like the Defenders on 20's, siping gives them good grip on wet pavement. I've used them and the previous similar tread MS and MS2s for a couple decades as all weather tires for ice and snow all year use.
